Settlement Date : November 17, 1998

Four city managers were brutally and methodically gunned down by an insubordinate city employee while working at Piper Technical Center in Downtown Los Angeles. Gary Eto, represented the surviving spouses and families in a wrongful death lawsuit against the City of Los Angeles which alleged the City failed to prevent workplace violence. On the eve of trial, the city agreed to pay $1.9 million dollars to settle the case.
